Keep in good physical condition all year round to reduce the fatigue that can
contribute to accidents
Warm up and stretch for at least 20 minutes before tackling the slopes
Ski in bounds on designated runs and follow trail signs when cross-country
skiing
Keep your ski equipment (skis, bindings, poles) in good condition which includes
waxing your skis and lubricating and cleaning bindings
Dress warmly in loose layers and wear a hat and gloves
Recognize your limitations and choose the run or trail that best suits your
ability. Take lessons from qualified instructor
Wear sunglasses or goggles with UV protection and sunscreen
Find our the condition of the ski run before starting out
