Booked for Lunch Series, June 7th Meeting
Please join us on Monday, June 7, 11:30 a.m. at the
Riverwalk, as
Michigan author Doc Fletcher presents his "canoeing & kayaking
through Michigan & Wisconsin" slide show. The show is a hour-long
photographic journey down selected rivers from each of his two book,
"Michigan Rivers Less Paddled" (2009) & "Weekend Canoeing in
Michigan" and
a sampling of rivers from his upcoming book about Wisconsin.
You'll take a virtual trip down each river that includes the
river's "degree of difficulty", float time, obstacles & key landmarks
encountered and what makes the river so uniquely FUN!
Histories of nearby town (with local Detroit Tiger radio
affiliates) are discussed & tales are told of a local, old-time,
tavern in that town-a place to relax and relive the day's river
adventure.
After this presentation there will be a drawing to win a free
canoe/kayak trip down a Michigan river!!
